Each review score is rated on a scale from 1 to 10, and the overall score is calculated by averaging all the review scores we receive. Guests have the opportunity to provide separate subscores in important areas such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free WiFi. It’s important to note that subscores and overall scores are submitted independently and are not directly linked to each other.
If you have booked an accommodation through our platform and stayed there, or if you have visited the property without actually staying, you can review your experience. Should you wish to edit a review that you have already submitted, our Customer Service team is available to assist you.
To maintain the integrity of our platform, we employ both people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews. If any fraudulent activity is discovered, we promptly delete the reviews and take appropriate action against those responsible. We encourage our users to report any suspicious content to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can thoroughly investigate.
While we strive to publish every review we receive, both positive and negative, there are certain criteria that we do not permit. Reviews that include or reference politically sensitive comments, promotional content, illegal activities, personal or sensitive information (such as emails, phone numbers, or credit card details), swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, violence, spam and fake content, animal cruelty, or impersonation will not be displayed. Additionally, any violation of our review guidelines will also result in the non-publication of reviews.
Relevance and Timeliness
To ensure the relevance of reviews, we accept submissions that are made within 3 months of checking out. Reviews that are older than 36 months or pertain to accommodations that have undergone a change of ownership may no longer be displayed. We also prioritize the most recent reviews, taking into account factors such as language and whether the review contains comments in addition to a rating.

Occasionally, we may showcase external review scores from well-known travel websites. Rest assured, we clearly indicate when external review scores are used.

- Contributions should be travel-related and offer detailed insights to help others make informed decisions.
- Personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary should be avoided.
- Promotional content will be removed, and concerns regarding our services should be directed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
- Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience and refrain from using profanity or attempting creative spelling to approximate profanity in any language.
- Comments or media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit content, violence, or the promotion of illegal activities are strictly prohibited.
- All content should be genuine and unique to each guest. Reviews hold the most value when they are original and unbiased. Property partners affiliated with Wilpaththu Nature Resort should refrain from posting on behalf of guests or offering incentives in exchange for reviews. Negative reviews submitted with the intention of damaging a competitor’s reputation will not be tolerated.
- Respect for the privacy of others is of utmost importance. We make every effort to protect personal details such as email addresses, phone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar information.
- The opinions expressed in contributions belong to our customers and properties. They do not represent the views of Wilpaththu Nature Resort or Booking.com. Booking.com assumes no responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. As a distributor, we do not verify the content but solely publish the comments and responses.
- By default, reviews are sorted based on their date and additional criteria to display the most relevant ones. These criteria include language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available, such as by traveler type or score.
