As Sri Lanka is home to eight world heritage sites: Galle, Kandy, Sigiriya, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruva, Dambulla cave temple, the Central Highlands, and Lion-King Sinharaja tropical rainforest many tourists come from around the world to see, rest and study of this little island.
The best time to visit Sri Lanka is seasonal. But the most precious time with fine weather condition is between Novembers to March. In this season Sri Lanka tourism begins of its bloom and most of the above sites can be covered in this season.
In November to March consider as a very rush season for tourism activities in the country. Most of the hotels and even guest houses are full of tourists in the season. So the early booking is very important in the above season.
While in the down south off season East coast begins its season between May and October. This season considered as the best surfing season in the east coastal belt. Arugam Bay and Trincomalee are the best surfing beaches in this season.
