Understanding Review Scores
At DHPL Travels, we use a comprehensive scoring system to assess accommodations. Each review score ranges from 1 to 10. To calculate the overall score, we sum up all the review scores and divide it by the total number of reviews received. Guests have the opportunity to provide separate subscores for essential aspects such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free WiFi. It’s important to note that subscores and overall scores are independent of each other and not directly linked.
Reviewing an Accommodation
If you have booked and stayed at an accommodation through our platform, you can share your feedback by leaving a review. Even if you visited the property but didn’t actually stay there, you can still review it. If you need to make any edits to a review you have already submitted, please reach out to our helpful Customer Service team.
Fighting Fake Reviews
DHPL Travels takes the issue of fake reviews very seriously. We have dedicated teams, both human and automated, that specialize in detecting and removing fraudulent submissions from our platform. Any fake reviews that are identified are promptly deleted, and if necessary, appropriate action is taken against the responsible parties. We encourage our users to report any suspicious activity to our Customer Service team, enabling our fraud team to thoroughly investigate the matter.
Our Review Guidelines
At DHPL Travels, we strive to maintain an environment where all reviews, positive or negative, are published. However, we do have certain guidelines in place to ensure the integrity and relevance of the content. We refrain from displaying reviews that contain or refer to politically sensitive comments, promotional content, illegal activities, personal or sensitive information (such as emails, phone numbers, or credit card details), swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, violence, spam, fake content, animal cruelty, impersonation, or any violation of our review guidelines.
Keeping Reviews Relevant
To ensure the relevancy of reviews, DHPL Travels may only accept submissions that are within 3 months of the checkout date. We may stop displaying reviews that are older than 36 months or if there has been a change of ownership for the accommodation.
Accommodation Responses
Accommodations have the opportunity to reply to reviews on our platform. We believe in fostering open communication between guests and properties, enabling constructive dialogue and addressing any concerns or feedback.
Sorting and Filtering Reviews
When browsing through multiple reviews, the most recent ones will appear at the top. However, various factors, such as language and whether the review includes comments or just a rating, can also influence the sorting order. To further enhance user experience, we provide options to sort and filter reviews by the time of year, review score, and more.
External Review Scores
Occasionally, DHPL Travels includes external review scores from other reputable travel websites. We ensure transparency by clearly indicating when we do so, giving our users a comprehensive view of the accommodation’s overall reputation.

The guidelines and standards we adhere to at DHPL Travels are designed to maintain the relevance and family-friendly nature of the content on our platform, without limiting freedom of expression or strong opinions. These guidelines are applicable regardless of the tone of the comments. Here are some key points to keep in mind:
- Contributions should be travel-related, providing helpful and detailed information that assists others in making better decisions. Please refrain from including personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Any promotional content will be removed, and any concerns regarding DHPL Travels’ services should be directed to our dedicated Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
- Contributions should be suitable for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempting to bypass filters with creative spelling in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit content, violence, or promote illegal activities are strictly prohibited.
- All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews hold the most value when they are original and unbiased. If you are a property partner of DHPL Travels, please refrain from posting reviews on behalf of guests or offering incentives in exchange for reviews. We do not tolerate attempts to manipulate ratings by submitting negative reviews about competitors.
- Respect the privacy of others. At DHPL Travels, we are committed to safeguarding the privacy of our users. Therefore, we make every effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
- The opinions expressed in reviews are those of DHPL Travels’ customers and properties, and not of DHPL Travels itself. We do not assume responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Please note that DHPL Travels acts as a distributor and not a publisher of comments and responses. We are under no obligation to verify the content’s accuracy and authenticity.
- By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of submission and additional criteria to display the most relevant feedback. These criteria include language preference, reviews containing written comments, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available based on the type of traveler or review score.
