Understanding Review Scores
At Villa Mount Melody, we value guest feedback to continuously improve our services. Each review score is rated on a scale of 1 to 10. To calculate the overall score, we aggregate all the review scores and divide the total by the number of reviews received. Guests have the opportunity to provide separate subscores in crucial areas such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free WiFi. It’s important to note that subscores and overall scores are submitted independently and do not have a direct correlation.
Reviewing an Accommodation
If you have booked an accommodation through our platform and have stayed there, or even if you have visited the property without actually staying, you can review it. Should you need to edit a review you have already submitted, please reach out to our Customer Service team for assistance.
Fighting Fake Reviews
At Villa Mount Melody, we have a dedicated team of experts and automated systems in place to detect and eliminate any fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we come across any fraudulent content, we take immediate action by deleting the reviews and taking necessary measures against the responsible parties. We encourage all our guests to report any suspicious reviews to our Customer Service team, enabling our fraud team to conduct thorough investigations.
Review Guidelines
We strive to publish all reviews we receive, both positive and negative. However, to maintain the integrity of our platform, we do not display reviews that include or reference politically sensitive comments, promotional content, illegal activities, personal or sensitive information (such as emails, phone numbers, or credit card details), swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, references to violence, spam, fake content, animal cruelty, impersonation, or any other violations of our review guidelines.
To ensure the relevance of reviews, we only accept submissions made within 3 months of checking out. Additionally, reviews may be removed if they are older than 36 months or if the accommodation undergoes a change of ownership.
Accommodation Responses and Review Sorting
Accommodations have the option to respond to reviews. When multiple reviews are available, the most recent ones will appear at the top, taking into consideration factors such as language, whether it includes comments or just ratings, and more. You have the ability to sort and filter reviews based on the time of year, review score, and other criteria.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
To maintain a relevant and family-friendly environment on our platform, we adhere to guidelines and standards that encourage helpful and unbiased contributions. Contributions should be travel-related, offering valuable insights to assist other guests in making informed decisions. Please refrain from including personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. We remove promotional content and any comments that violate Booking.com’s services guidelines should be reported to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
We kindly request that all contributions be appropriate for a global audience. Avoid using profanity or creative spelling to approximate profanity in any language. Comments and media containing hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit content, violence, or the promotion of illegal activities will not be permitted.
We value genuine and unique content that reflects each guest’s experience. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Property partners of Booking.com should refrain from posting on behalf of guests or offering incentives in exchange for reviews. Negative reviews aimed at intentionally harming the reputation of a competitor will not be tolerated.
We respect the privacy of others and make every effort to protect personal information. Details such as email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar information will be appropriately obscured.
