Each review score is rated between 1 and 10. To calculate the overall score, we add up all the review scores and divide that total by the number of review scores received. Guests have the option to provide separate subscores in important areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free WiFi. Subscores and overall scores are submitted independently and are not directly linked.
If you have stayed at an accommodation booked through our platform or have visited the property, you can write a review. To make changes to a review you have already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have dedicated people and automated systems specifically designed to identify and remove fake reviews from our platform. If any are found, they are promptly deleted, and appropriate action is taken against those responsible. If you come across any suspicious content, please report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we aim to publish all reviews we receive, whether they are positive or negative. However, reviews that include or reference politically sensitive comments, promotional content, illegal activities, personal or sensitive information (such as emails, phone numbers, or credit card information), swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, references to violence, spam, fake content, animal cruelty, impersonation, or any violation of our review guidelines will not be displayed.
To ensure the relevance of reviews, we may only accept submissions within three months of check-out. Additionally, reviews older than 36 months may no longer be shown, or if the accommodation changes ownership.
Accommodations have the option to reply to reviews.
When viewing multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be displayed at the top, taking into consideration factors such as language and whether the review is solely a rating or includes comments. You can also sort and filter reviews based on the time of year, review score, and more.
Occasionally, we may display external review scores from other reputable travel websites, but we will always make it clear when we do so.

Promotional content will be removed, and any issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be directed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.

Contributions should be suitable for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempting to disguise profanity with creative spelling in any language. Comments and media that contain hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit language, violence, or promote illegal activities are not allowed.

All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews hold the most value when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should reflect your own experience. Property partners of Booking.com should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. We do not tolerate negative reviews submitted with the intention of lowering a competitor’s rating.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com takes privacy seriously and will make every effort to protect personal information such as email addresses, phone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
