What you need to know about our reviews

At DHPL Travels, we understand the importance of genuine feedback from our guests. That’s why we have a comprehensive review system in place. Each review score ranges from 1 to 10. To calculate the overall score, we collect all review scores, add them up, and then divide the total by the number of scores received.

Guests have the opportunity to provide separate subscores for essential aspects such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free WiFi. It’s important to note that these subscores are independent of the overall score, and there is no direct link between them.

Sharing your experience

If you have booked accommodation through our platform and have actually stayed there, or if you visited the property but did not stay overnight, you are eligible to leave a review. Should you ever need to edit a review you’ve submitted, our Customer Service team is always here to assist you.

We take fake reviews seriously

To maintain the integrity of our review system, we have a dedicated team of experts and automated systems in place to detect and combat fake reviews. If we come across any fraudulent activity, we promptly delete the reviews and take appropriate action against those responsible. We encourage our guests to report any suspicious reviews to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate the matter thoroughly.

Review moderation guidelines

While we value every review we receive, we have certain standards in place to ensure the relevance and appropriateness of the content displayed. Reviews containing the following elements will not be published:

  • Politically sensitive comments
  • Promotional content
  • Illegal activities
  • Personal or sensitive information (e.g., emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
  • Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
  • Spam and fake content
  • Animal cruelty
  • Impersonation (i.e., claiming to be someone else)
  • Any violation of our review guidelines

To maintain relevancy, we only accept reviews submitted within 3 months after checking out. Additionally, we may cease displaying reviews that are older than 36 months or if the accommodation undergoes a change of ownership.

Accommodation responses and review sorting

We believe in fostering open communication between our guests and accommodation providers. Accommodations have the option to respond to reviews they receive.

When browsing through multiple reviews, the most recent ones will appear at the top, taking into consideration various factors such as language, whether it includes comments or only a rating, and more. To enhance your browsing experience, you can sort and filter reviews based on the time of year, review score, and other criteria.

Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

To ensure our platform remains relevant and family-friendly, we have established guidelines and standards that apply to all comments, regardless of the tone expressed. Here are some key points to keep in mind:

  • Contributions should be travel-related and provide helpful insights for others.
  • Avoid personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary.
  • Promotional content will be removed, and any concerns regarding DHPL Travels’ services should be directed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
  • Contributions should be suitable for a global audience, avoiding profanity and creative attempts to approximate profanity in any language.
  • Comments and media that promote hate speech, discrimination, threats, sexually explicit content, violence, or illegal activities are strictly prohibited.
  • All content should be genuine, unique to the guest, and free from biases. Booking.com property partners should refrain from posting on behalf of guests or offering incentives for reviews.
  • Respecting the privacy of others is important to us. As such, we make an effort to obscure personal details such as email addresses, phone numbers, website addresses, and social media accounts.
