How Reviews are Scored

To calculate the overall score of an accommodation, we consider all the individual review scores submitted by our guests. These scores cover important aspects such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free WiFi. Each review score ranges from 1 to 10. The overall score is determined by adding up all the review scores and dividing the total by the number of reviews received. It is important to note that subscores and overall scores are independent of each other and do not have a direct link.

Submitting and Editing Reviews

If you have booked an accommodation through our platform and have stayed there, or even if you have visited the property without staying, you can submit a review. If you need to edit a review you have already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team and they will assist you.

Detecting and Addressing Fake Reviews

We have a dedicated team, both human and automated, that specializes in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we identify any fraudulent reviews, we promptly delete them and take necessary action against the responsible parties. We appreciate the vigilance of our guests in reporting any suspicious reviews to our Customer Service team. Your reports help our fraud team in their investigation.

Review Guidelines and Criteria

We value both positive and negative reviews and aim to publish all of them, provided they adhere to our review guidelines. However, there are certain types of content that we do not allow in reviews. These include politically sensitive comments, promotional content, illegal activities, personal or sensitive information, swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, violence, spam, fake content, animal cruelty, and impersonation. Any violation of our review guidelines will result in the non-display of the review.

Review Relevance and Display

To ensure the relevance of our reviews, we only accept submissions within 3 months of checking out. Additionally, reviews older than 36 months may no longer be displayed, and this may also occur if the accommodation undergoes a change of ownership. When multiple reviews are available, we prioritize the most recent ones for display. Other factors, such as language and the inclusion of comments, are also taken into consideration. Guests have the option to sort and filter reviews based on time of year, review score, and other criteria.

Accommodation Response

We believe in facilitating open communication between guests and accommodations. As such, an accommodation has the opportunity to respond to reviews.

External Review Scores

In some cases, we may include external review scores from well-known travel websites. When we do this, we clearly state the source of the scores to provide complete transparency.

Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Our guidelines and standards are designed to maintain the relevancy and family-friendliness of the content on DHPL Travels. They apply to all reviews, regardless of the tone. Contributions should be travel-related and offer detailed insights to help other travelers make informed decisions. We kindly request that you avoid including personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary in your reviews. Promotional content will be removed, and any issues concerning our services should be directed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.

Global Audience Consideration

Our guests come from all around the world, so contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please refrain from using profanity or attempting to convey profanity through creative spelling in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are strictly prohibited.

Genuine and Unique Content

We highly value genuine and unbiased reviews that reflect the unique experiences of our guests. Your contributions should be original and truly yours. Property partners affiliated with DHPL Travels are not allowed to post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. We do not tolerate attempts to manipulate ratings by submitting negative reviews about competitors.

Privacy Protection

Respecting the privacy of individuals is of utmost importance to us. Therefore, we make every effort to obscure email addresses, phone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details in our published content.
