Understanding Review Scores

To create an overall score for each accommodation, we compile the individual review scores submitted by our guests. These scores cover various aspects such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free WiFi. Each review score ranges from 1 to 10, with 10 being the highest. The overall score is calculated by adding up all the review scores and dividing the total by the number of reviews received.

Independent Subscores

Guests have the option to provide separate subscores for different aspects of their stay. These subscores are independent of the overall score and allow guests to express their opinions on specific areas of the accommodation.

Authentic Reviews

At DHPL Travels, we take the authenticity of reviews seriously. We have a dedicated team and automated systems in place to detect and remove any fake reviews. If you come across any suspicious content, please report it to our Customer Service team, and our fraud team will investigate the matter promptly.

Review Guidelines

We strive to publish both positive and negative reviews to provide a comprehensive view of each accommodation. However, we have certain guidelines in place to ensure the relevance and appropriateness of the reviews. Reviews that include politically sensitive comments, promotional content, illegal activities, personal or sensitive information, swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, violence, spam, fake content, animal cruelty, impersonation, or any violation of our review guidelines will not be displayed.

Timeliness of Reviews

To maintain the relevance of our reviews, we only accept submissions within 3 months of checking out. Additionally, reviews that are older than 36 months or pertain to accommodations with a change of ownership may no longer be displayed.

Accommodation Responses

DHPL Travels encourages accommodations to respond to reviews. This allows for open communication and the opportunity to address any concerns or provide additional information.

Sorting and Filtering Reviews

When multiple reviews are available, we prioritize the most recent ones. However, several factors, such as language and the presence of comments, also influence the ranking. You have the option to sort and filter reviews based on the time of year, review score, and more.

Booking.com’s Guidelines and Standards

To maintain a relevant and family-friendly platform, Booking.com has established guidelines and standards for reviews. These guidelines apply to all comments, regardless of tone.

  • Contributions should be travel-related and provide helpful insights to assist other travelers.
  • Personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary should be avoided, as well as promotional content.
  • Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience and free from profanity, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexual content, violence, or the promotion of illegal activities.
  • Reviews should be genuine, unbiased, and unique to the guest. Property partners are prohibited from posting on behalf of guests or offering incentives for reviews. Negative reviews submitted with the intention of harming a competitor’s reputation will not be tolerated.
  • The privacy of individuals should be respected, and personal details such as email addresses, phone numbers, and social media accounts should not be shared.
  • The opinions expressed in reviews belong to the guests and properties, and not to Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses.
