When it comes to reviewing accommodations on our platform, we value the opinions of our guests. Each review score ranges from 1 to 10, and to calculate the overall score, we sum up all the review scores and divide it by the total number of reviews received. In addition to the overall score, guests can provide separate subscores for important areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free WiFi. It’s important to note that these subscores and the overall scores are submitted independently, with no direct link between them.
Submitting a Review
You have the option to review the accommodation you booked through our platform, whether you stayed there or simply visited the property. If you need to edit a review you’ve already submitted, please reach out to our Customer Service team who will be happy to assist you.
Detecting Fake Reviews
We take the authenticity of our reviews seriously. To ensure the integrity of our platform, we have a dedicated team of experts and automated systems that specialize in identifying fake reviews. If we detect any fraudulent activity, we promptly delete those reviews and, if necessary, take appropriate action against the responsible parties. If you come across any suspicious content, please report it to our Customer Service team so our fraud team can thoroughly investigate the matter.
Review Guidelines and Standards
We strive to publish all the reviews we receive, regardless of whether they are positive or negative. However, there are certain types of content that we cannot display. These include politically sensitive comments, promotional content, illegal activities, personal or sensitive information such as emails, phone numbers, or credit card details, swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, violence, spam, fake content, animal cruelty, impersonation, and any violation of our review guidelines.
To ensure the relevance of reviews, we typically accept submissions made within 3 months of checking out. Furthermore, we may remove older reviews that are 36 months old or if the accommodation undergoes a change of ownership.
Interaction and Sorting of Reviews
Accommodations have the option to reply to reviews, providing an opportunity for open communication and addressing any concerns. When viewing multiple reviews, the most recent ones will appear at the top, taking into account various factors like language, whether it’s a rating or contains comments, and more. You can also sort and filter reviews based on the time of year, review score, and other criteria.
External Review Score Disclosure
Occasionally, we display review scores from other reputable travel websites. Rest assured, when we do this, we clearly indicate the source of the review.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
At DHPL Travels, we have established guidelines and standards to maintain the relevancy and family-friendly nature of the content on our website. These guidelines apply to all comments, regardless of their tone. Here are some key points to keep in mind:
- Contributions should be travel-related and provide detailed insights to help others make informed decisions. We kindly request that you avoid including personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content is strictly prohibited, and any issues related to DHPL Travels’ services should be directed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
- Contributions should be suitable for a global audience. Please refrain from using profanity or attempting to bypass our content filters by using creative spelling techniques. Comments or media that contain hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit content, violence, or promote illegal activities will not be tolerated.
- We value genuine and unique content from our guests. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should reflect your personal experience. Partners affiliated with DHPL Travels should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. We do not tolerate attempts to manipulate ratings by submitting negative reviews about competitors.
- Respect the privacy of others. DHPL Travels takes privacy seriously and endeavors to protect personal information such as email addresses, phone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
- The opinions expressed in contributions are solely those of DHPL Travels’ customers and properties. They do not represent the views of DHPL Travels. DHPL Travels assumes no responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Please remember that DHPL Travels is a distributor and does not verify the content. We are not a publisher of these comments and responses.
- By default, reviews are sorted by the date of submission, taking into account additional criteria to present the most relevant reviews. These criteria include factors such as language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Depending on your preferences, additional sorting options may be available, such as sorting by traveler type or score.
