Understanding Review Scores
At DHPL Travels, we value the feedback of our guests. To provide an overall score for an accommodation, we tally up individual review scores and divide the total by the number of reviews received. Guests have the opportunity to rate various aspects such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free WiFi. It’s important to note that the subscores given by guests are independent of their overall score, and there is no direct link between them.
Reviewing Your Accommodation Experience
You can share your thoughts on an accommodation you booked through our platform, whether you stayed there or simply visited. Should you need to edit a review you’ve already submitted, feel free to reach out to our Customer Service team for assistance.
Fighting Against Fake Reviews
To maintain the integrity of our platform, we have both human experts and automated systems in place to identify and remove any fraudulent reviews. If you come across anything suspicious, please report it to our Customer Service team so that our dedicated fraud team can further investigate.
Review Guidelines and Standards
At DHPL Travels, we strive to provide relevant and trustworthy reviews. While we aim to publish both positive and negative feedback, there are certain criteria we cannot accommodate. Reviews containing politically sensitive comments, promotional content, illegal activities, personal or sensitive information, swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, violence, spam, animal cruelty, impersonation, or any violation of our review guidelines will not be displayed.
To ensure relevance, we accept reviews within 3 months of the checkout date, and may stop showing reviews that exceed 36 months or in cases where the accommodation undergoes a change of ownership.
At DHPL Travels, we encourage accommodations to respond to reviews. This allows guests to engage in a constructive dialogue and facilitates effective communication.
Sorting and Filtering Reviews
When viewing multiple reviews, the most recent ones will appear at the top. Other factors such as language, rating-only reviews, and comment-containing reviews will also influence the order. To enhance your browsing experience, you have the option to sort and filter reviews by time of year, review score, and more.
External Review Scores
Occasionally, we may display external review scores from well-known travel websites. Rest assured, we will always make it clear when this is the case.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
Our guidelines and standards ensure that all content on DHPL Travels remains relevant and family-friendly, without restricting freedom of expression or strong opinions. They are applicable to comments of all tones. Here are some key points to keep in mind:
- Contributions should be travel related. Detailed and informative contributions are particularly valuable in helping others make informed decisions. Please refrain from including personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. If you have any issues concerning DHPL Travels’ services, kindly direct them to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
- Contributions should cater to a global audience. We kindly ask you to avoid using profanity or attempting to bypass filters with creative spelling in any language. Comments and media that contain hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit content, violence, or promote illegal activities are strictly prohibited.
- All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews hold the most significance when they are original and unbiased. We appreciate your contributions reflecting your personal experiences. Accommodation partners affiliated with DHPL Travels are not allowed to post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Negative reviews submitted with the intention to harm competitors will not be tolerated.
- Respect the privacy of others. DHPL Travels takes privacy seriously. We take necessary steps to conceal personal information such as email addresses, phone numbers, website URLs, social media accounts, and similar details.
- Customer and Property Opinions. The opinions expressed in reviews are those of DHPL Travels’ customers and properties, and do not reflect the views of DHPL Travels. As a distributor, DHPL Travels is not responsible for the accuracy of reviews or responses. We do not accept liability or responsibility for any reviews or responses. DHPL Travels is committed to ensuring transparency and authenticity in the content provided.
- Review Sorting and Additional Criteria. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review. We also consider additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, such as language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available based on the type of traveler or review score.
