Test Locations

All IELTS testing is conducted at the ACBT campuses in Colombo and Kandy. These locations are equipped to provide a comfortable and convenient environment for candidates.

Registering for an IELTS Test

To register for an IELTS test, prospective applicants need to submit the following:

• A valid passport (expired passports are not accepted)
• Payment receipt for the examination fee

Candidates can conveniently register online at DHPL Travels. Simply select “Colombo – ACBT” as the venue on the registration page.

For those opting for the Computer Delivered IELTS, availability and online booking can be checked at DHPL Travels.

IELTS Exam Fee: Rs. 50,000/-

The examination fee for IELTS is Rs. 50,000/-. Payment can be made in cash or by credit card (Mastercard or Visa) with a 3% commission.

IELTS Results

For Paper-Based tests, candidate results are released on the 13th day after the examination. Computer-Delivered test results, on the other hand, are released within 5 days. All Test Report Forms (TRFs) will be sent to candidates via courier service to the provided postal address.

ACBT also provides a dedicated Resource Room for self-study, available from Monday to Saturday between 8.30 am and 5.00 pm, at a cost of LKR 500.00 per slot (morning slot: 8.30 am to 12.30 pm, afternoon slot: 1.00 pm to 5.00 pm).

Exam Dates and Registration Deadlines

IELTS Paper-Based Test

The registration deadlines mentioned above are for walk-in candidates. Online registration and payment can still be made up to 5 days before the test date, depending on seat availability. Registration deadlines are subject to change based on seat availability. Registrations are on a first-come, first-served basis and may close earlier than the given date if seats are filled.

IELTS Computer-Based Test

ACBT Colombo and ACBT Kandy conduct IELTS Computer-Based Tests on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Please note that tests are not held on local public holidays.
