How Review Scores are Calculated

Our review scoring system ranges from 1 to 10. To determine the overall score, we aggregate all the individual review scores and divide it by the total number of reviews received. Guests have the option to provide separate scores in specific areas such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free WiFi. It’s important to note that the overall score and subscores are submitted independently and are not directly linked.

Authenticity and Detection of Fake Reviews

Maintaining the authenticity of our review platform is crucial to us. To achieve this, we have a team of both people and automated systems dedicated to detecting and eliminating any fake reviews that may be submitted. If we identify any suspicious activity, we promptly delete the fake reviews and take appropriate action against the responsible parties. We highly encourage our users to report any suspicious content they come across to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can thoroughly investigate.

Review Guidelines

We strive to publish every review we receive, whether it’s positive or negative. However, there are certain criteria that we do not allow in the reviews. These include politically sensitive comments, promotional content, illegal activities, personal or sensitive information (such as emails, phone numbers, credit card info), swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, violence, spam, fake content, animal cruelty, impersonation, or any violations of our review guidelines.

Review Relevance and Timeframe

To ensure the relevance of reviews, we generally accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of the check-out date. Additionally, reviews that are older than 36 months may stop being displayed, especially if there has been a change in ownership of the accommodation.

Interaction between Accommodation and Guest

As part of our review system, accommodations have the opportunity to respond to guest reviews. This allows for open communication and the opportunity to address any concerns or express appreciation.

External Review Scores

In certain cases, we may display external review scores from well-known travel websites. However, we always make it clear when these scores are included.

Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

To maintain a relevant and family-friendly environment, we have established guidelines and standards for reviews on DHPL Travels. These guidelines apply to all comments and contributions, regardless of their tone. Here are some key points:

  1. Travel-related content: Contributions should primarily focus on travel experiences and aid fellow travelers in making informed decisions. Please refrain from including personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. For any issues related to DHPL Travels services, kindly contact our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.

  2. Global audience appropriateness: We aim to create an inclusive environment for all. Please avoid using profanity or attempting to bypass filters with creative spelling in any language. Hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are strictly prohibited.

  3. Genuine and unique contributions: Reviews hold the most value when they are original and unbiased. We encourage you to share your personal experiences as a guest. It is important to note that DHPL Travels property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives for reviews. We do not tolerate negative reviews submitted with the intention of bringing down a competitor’s rating.

  4. Respect for privacy: We respect the privacy of all individuals involved. DHPL Travels will make every effort to protect personal information such as email addresses, phone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

  5. Opinions and liability: The opinions expressed in reviews are those of our customers and properties and do not necessarily reflect the views of DHPL Travels. We do not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. As a distributor, we do not have an obligation to verify the accuracy of these comments and responses.
