During my month in Hiriketiya, I had the pleasure of staying at Emma Sea View for the majority of my time. This charming boutique hotel, owned and managed by the affable Shan who resides next door, offers various room styles.
The family rooms, the largest and most enchanting, boast a spacious terrace with a table, chairs, and even power outlets for outdoor working. Sink into comfortable beds, unwind on the sofa, and relish the ample natural light streaming into the room. From the terrace, savor the soothing sound of waves, birdsong, and playful monkeys swinging amidst the palm trees.
Emma Sea View also offers several other standard rooms, categorized as “Deluxe” and “Budget” on Booking.com. Though smaller and darker, these rooms suit solo budget travelers, albeit they may feel a bit cramped for two.
Kindly note that none of the rooms at Emma Sea View have air conditioning. However, the family rooms feature high ceilings and a powerful ceiling fan, maintaining a cool ambiance during your stay.
