Understanding Review Scores
Each review score on our platform ranges from 1 to 10. To calculate the overall score for an accommodation, we add up all the review scores and divide it by the total number of reviews received. Guests also have the option to provide separate subscores for key areas such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free WiFi. It’s important to note that there is no direct link between the subscores and the overall score.
You can review any accommodation that you booked through our platform, whether you stayed there or simply visited the property. If you need to edit a review you’ve already submitted, please reach out to our Customer Service team for assistance.
Detecting Fake Reviews
At DHPL Travels, we have a dedicated team, as well as automated systems, that specialize in detecting and removing fake reviews from our platform. If we come across any fraudulent activities, we take immediate action and delete the reviews. We encourage our users to report any suspicious reviews to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate further.
While we aim to publish all reviews, both positive and negative, there are certain criteria that we follow. Reviews that include or refer to politically sensitive comments, promotional content, illegal activities, personal or sensitive information, swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, violence, spam, fake content, animal cruelty, impersonation, or any violation of our review guidelines will not be displayed.
To ensure the relevance of reviews, we accept submissions within 3 months of checking out. Additionally, reviews may no longer be visible if they are 36 months old or if the accommodation undergoes a change of ownership.
Accommodations have the option to reply to reviews left by guests, allowing for open communication and addressing any concerns.
Sorting and Filtering Reviews
When multiple reviews are available, the most recent ones will appear at the top, considering factors such as language, rating, and comments. You can sort and filter reviews based on the time of year, review score, and more.
External Review Scores
Occasionally, we may display review scores from other well-known travel websites. When we do this, we make it clear that the scores are external and not generated directly by DHPL Travels.
Guidelines and Standards
Our guidelines and standards are designed to maintain relevant and family-friendly content on DHPL Travels. These guidelines are applicable regardless of the comment’s tone or subject matter.
- Contributions should be travel-related and helpful to others in making decisions.
- Please avoid personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed.
- Contributions should be suitable for a global audience, refraining from profanity or hate speech.
- All content should be original and unbiased. Reviews should reflect the genuine experience of the guest.
- Respect the privacy of others by not sharing personal contact details or other sensitive information.
- The opinions expressed in reviews belong to the guests and properties, not DHPL Travels. We do not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses as we are a distributor, not a publisher of these comments.
