Understanding Review Scores and Subscores
At DHPL Travels, we understand the importance of providing accurate and reliable information to our guests. When it comes to review scores, we take into account a range of factors to determine the overall rating of an accommodation. Each review score is rated on a scale from 1 to 10. To calculate the overall score, we add up all the review scores and divide that total by the number of review scores we received.
Additionally, guests have the option to provide separate subscores for specific areas of importance, including location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free WiFi. It is important to note that these subscores are submitted independently of the overall score, and there is no direct link between them.
Genuine Reviews and Detection of Fake Reviews
To maintain the integrity of our platform, we have a dedicated team of experts and automated systems that specialize in detecting any fake reviews. If we come across any suspicious reviews, we take immediate action by removing them and, if necessary, taking further measures against those responsible. We strongly encourage our users to report any suspicious activity they come across so that our fraud team can investigate it thoroughly.
Review Guidelines and Content Moderation
We value both positive and negative feedback from our guests, as it helps us improve our services. However, there are certain guidelines and standards that all reviews must adhere to. We reserve the right to not display reviews that include or refer to politically sensitive comments, promotional content, illegal activities, personal or sensitive information, swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, violence, spam and fake content, animal cruelty, impersonation, or any violation of our review guidelines.
To ensure the relevance of reviews, we generally accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of the checkout date. Reviews that are older than 36 months may no longer be displayed, or if the accommodation undergoes a change of ownership.
Accommodation Responses and Review Sorting
At DHPL Travels, we believe in open communication between guests and accommodations. That’s why accommodations have the option to reply to reviews. This allows for a constructive dialogue and helps address any concerns or issues raised by guests.
When it comes to sorting reviews, we prioritize the most recent ones at the top. However, other factors such as language, the presence of comments, and the inclusion of ratings also come into play. Guests can also sort and filter reviews based on time of year, review score, and other criteria to find the most relevant information.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
We have established guidelines and standards to ensure that the content on DHPL Travels remains relevant and family-friendly, while still allowing for diverse opinions. Contributions should be travel-related and provide detailed insights that help other travelers make informed decisions. We kindly request that personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary be avoided. Any issues regarding DHPL Travels’ services should be directed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
It is important to remember that contributions should be appropriate for a global audience and avoid the use of profanity or any attempts to mask profanity with creative spelling. Hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit language, violence, and the promotion of illegal activities are strictly prohibited.
All reviews should be genuine and unique to the guest’s experience. We value original and unbiased feedback. Accommodation partners affiliated with DHPL Travels are not allowed to post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. We do not tolerate negative reviews submitted with the sole intention of bringing down a competitor’s rating.
Respecting the privacy of others is of utmost importance to us. DHPL Travels will make every effort to protect personal information such as email addresses, phone numbers, website addresses, and social media accounts.
The opinions expressed in reviews are those of DHPL Travels’ customers and properties, and they do not necessarily reflect the views of DHPL Travels. DHPL Travels does not assume responsibility or liability for the content of reviews or responses. As a distributor, DHPL Travels does not have an obligation to verify the accuracy of reviews and responses, as they are provided by the guests.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and other relevant criteria, such as language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available based on the type of traveler or overall score.
