Each review score is on a scale of 1 to 10. To calculate the overall score, we sum up all the review scores and divide it by the total number of reviews received. Guests have the option to provide separate scores for important aspects like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free WiFi. The submission of subscores and overall scores is independent and not directly linked.
If you have booked accommodation through our platform and stayed there, or even if you visited the property without actually staying, you can write a review. If you need to edit a review you have already submitted, please reach out to our Customer Service team.
At our platform, we have both human experts and automated systems dedicated to detecting and removing fake reviews. If any fraudulent activity is found, appropriate action will be taken.
In case you come across something suspicious, do not hesitate to report it to our Customer Service team. Our fraud team will thoroughly investigate the matter.
Our goal is to publish all reviews, whether positive or negative. However, we do have some guidelines regarding the content we display. Reviews containing or referring to politically sensitive comments, promotional content, illegal activities, personal or sensitive information (such as emails, phone numbers, or credit card details), swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, violence, spam, fake content, animal cruelty, impersonation, or any violation of our review guidelines will not be displayed.
To ensure that reviews are relevant, we accept submissions within 3 months of check-out. Reviews that are 36 months old or older may be removed, as well as those pertaining to accommodations that have changed ownership.
Accommodations have the option to respond to reviews.
When viewing multiple reviews, the most recent ones will appear at the top, taking into account other factors such as language and whether the review consists of just a rating or includes comments. You can sort and filter reviews by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes, we may display external review scores from well-known travel websites. However, we always make it clear when we do so.

Contributions should be travel-related. The most valuable contributions are detailed and help others make informed decisions. Please refrain from including personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed, and any issues regarding Booking.com’s services should be brought to the attention of our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be suitable for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or creatively misspelling profane words in any language. Comments and media that contain hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit content, violence, or promote illegal activities are strictly prohibited.
All content should be original and unbiased. Reviews hold the most value when they are authentic and impartial. Your contribution should reflect your personal experience. Property partners of Booking.com should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. We do not tolerate attempts to lower the rating of a competitor through negative reviews.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com takes privacy seriously and will make every effort to hide email addresses, phone numbers, website links, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions belong to Booking.com customers and properties. They do not represent the views of Booking.com. Booking.com assumes no responsibility for reviews or responses. We act solely as a platform for distributing comments and responses, and we do not verify their accuracy.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the review date and other relevant criteria, such as language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (e.g., by traveler type, score, etc.).
