How Review Scores are Calculated
Each review score provided by guests is on a scale of 1 to 10. To determine the overall score, we calculate the average of all the review scores received. Additionally, guests have the option to provide separate subscores for important aspects such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free WiFi. It’s important to note that these subscores and the overall scores are independent of each other and not directly linked.
Submitting a Review
You can review an accommodation that you have booked through our platform, whether you stayed there or just visited the property. If you need to edit a review that you have already submitted, please reach out to our Customer Service team for assistance.
Detection of Fake Reviews
At DHPL Travels, we have a dedicated team of experts and automated systems that specialize in identifying and removing fake reviews submitted to our platform. If fake reviews are detected, appropriate action is taken against the responsible party. We encourage our users to report any suspicious activity to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can thoroughly investigate.
Review Guidelines and Content Policies
We strive to publish all reviews, both positive and negative. However, there are certain types of content that we do not display. These include politically sensitive comments, promotional content, illegal activities, personal or sensitive information (such as emails, phone numbers, or credit card details), swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, violence, spam, fake content, animal cruelty, and impersonation. Any violation of our review guidelines will result in the review not being published.
To maintain relevance, we generally accept reviews submitted within 3 months of checking out. Reviews that are older than 36 months may not be displayed, or if the property has undergone a change of ownership.
Accommodation Responses
DHPL Travels allows accommodations to respond to reviews. This provides an opportunity for establishments to address any concerns or express their gratitude for positive feedback.
Sorting and Filtering Reviews
When multiple reviews are available, the most recent ones will appear at the top. However, several factors, such as language, presence of additional comments, and ratings, can influence the sorting. Users can also sort and filter reviews based on the time of year, review score, and other criteria.
External Review Scores
In some instances, we may display review scores from other reputable travel websites. We always make it clear when this information is included.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
At DHPL Travels, we maintain strict guidelines and standards to ensure that the content on our platform remains relevant and family-friendly. These guidelines apply to all user comments, regardless of their tone.
- Contributions should be related to travel and provide helpful information to assist others in making informed decisions.
- Personal, political, ethical, and religious commentary should be avoided. Promotional content will be removed, and any issues related to DHPL Travels’ services should be directed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
- Contributions should be suitable for a global audience. Please refrain from using profanity or attempting to mask profanity with creative spelling in any language. Comments and media containing hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit content, violence, or the promotion of illegal activities are strictly prohibited.
- All content submitted by guests should be genuine and unique. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Property partners of DHPL Travels should not post reviews on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Negative reviews submitted with the intention of unfairly impacting a competitor’s rating will not be tolerated.
- Respect the privacy of others. DHPL Travels takes privacy seriously and will make every effort to protect personal information, including obscuring email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
- The opinions expressed in user contributions belong to the guests and properties themselves and do not necessarily reflect those of DHPL Travels. DHPL Travels is a distributor of these comments and responses and does not verify their accuracy. Therefore, DHPL Travels cannot accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses posted on our platform.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review as well as additional criteria such as language, presence of text in the review, and anonymity. Additional sorting options may be available, including sorting by the type of traveler or review score.
