How Review Scores are Calculated

When guests submit their reviews, they are asked to rate various aspects of their stay, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free WiFi. Each review score ranges from 1 to 10. To determine the overall score, we add up all the review scores and divide the total by the number of reviews received. Please note that the subscores and overall scores are submitted independently and do not have a direct link.

Authenticity and Detection of Fake Reviews

At DHPL Travels, we have a dedicated team and automated systems in place to detect and remove any fraudulent reviews. We take the authenticity of our reviews seriously to ensure the credibility of the feedback. If any suspicious activity is noticed, we encourage our guests to promptly report it to our Customer Service team for further investigation.

Review Guidelines and Standards

To maintain the relevance and integrity of our reviews, we have established guidelines and standards that all reviews must adhere to. We value the freedom of expression and encourage diverse opinions; however, we do not tolerate any content that violates our guidelines. The following types of content will not be displayed:

  • Politically sensitive comments
  • Promotional content
  • Illegal activities
  • Personal or sensitive information (e.g., emails, phone numbers, credit card details)
  • Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or violence
  • Spam and fake content

Relevance and Timeliness of Reviews

To ensure the accuracy and relevance of reviews, we only accept submissions within 3 months of checking out. Additionally, we may stop displaying reviews that are older than 36 months or if the accommodation undergoes a change of ownership.

Accommodation Responses and External Review Scores

At DHPL Travels, accommodations have the option to respond to reviews. This allows them to address any concerns or comments from guests. We believe in promoting open communication and transparency between guests and accommodations.

In some cases, we may display external review scores from well-known travel websites. When we do this, we make it clear that these scores are from external sources.

Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

To ensure a pleasant experience for all users, DHPL Travels has established guidelines and standards for reviews. These standards apply to all comments, regardless of their tone. Here are some key points to keep in mind:

  • Contributions should be travel-related and provide detailed information to help others make informed decisions.
  • Personal, political, ethical, and religious commentary should be avoided.
  • Promotional content will be removed, and any issues related to DHPL Travels’ services should be directed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
  • Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience, refraining from profanity or any form of hate speech, discrimination, threats, sexual remarks, violence, or promotion of illegal activities.
  • All content should be genuine and unique to the guest, reflecting their personal experience. Accommodation partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Negative reviews submitted with the intention of harming a competitor’s reputation will not be tolerated.
  • Respecting the privacy of others is of utmost importance. DHPL Travels will make every effort to protect personal information such as email addresses, phone numbers, and social media accounts.
